IP Addresses & Connectivity Data

Our core service involves testing your network connectivity. To do this, we must momentarily access your IP address. However:

• We do not store your raw IP address.
• For our global statistics map, we generate an anonymous, salted hash of your IP address. This allows us to aggregate country and city-level data without retaining personally identifiable information (PII).
• This hashing process is one-way and cannot be reversed to identify you.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal local storage to enhance your experience:

• To remember your preferences (like theme settings, if applicable).
• To cache non-sensitive static assets for performance.

We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Google may use cookies to personalize ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic trends. This data is aggregated and anonymized. Google Analytics may set its own cookies.

We also collect limited, first-party performance measurements to diagnose slow interactions. • Cloudflare: For DNS, CDN, and edge computing. Cloudflare may log basic request data for security and performance purposes.
• Google AdSense: For displaying advertisements.
• Google Analytics: For aggregate traffic analysis.

4. Data Retention

Raw IP addresses processed during the test are discarded immediately after the test completes. The anonymized, hashed data used for statistics is retained indefinitely to track historical trends in IPv6 adoption. First-party interaction performance measurements are automatically deleted after 45 days.

5. Your Rights

Since we do not store personal data or raw IP addresses, we generally cannot retrieve or delete "your" data because we have no way of linking the anonymous hashes back to you. However, you can control cookies via your browser settings.
