At test-ipv6.run, we believe in a private internet. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website.
Our core service involves testing your network connectivity. To do this, we must momentarily access your IP address. However:
We use minimal local storage to enhance your experience:
We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Google may use cookies to personalize ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings.
We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic trends. This data is aggregated and anonymized. Google Analytics may set its own cookies.
We also collect limited, first-party performance measurements to diagnose slow interactions. These measurements contain the page type, a fixed label for the interacted control, broad device and network categories, interaction timing phases, application state, and the responsible script path when the browser provides it. They do not contain raw IP addresses, cookies, referrers, form input, full page URLs, query values, element text, or user-agent strings.
The data we collect is used solely for:
We use the following third-party services:
Raw IP addresses processed during the test are discarded immediately after the test completes. The anonymized, hashed data used for statistics is retained indefinitely to track historical trends in IPv6 adoption. First-party interaction performance measurements are automatically deleted after 45 days.
Since we do not store personal data or raw IP addresses, we generally cannot retrieve or delete "your" data because we have no way of linking the anonymous hashes back to you. However, you can control cookies via your browser settings.
